I am 64 and in a new relationship and recently diagnosed with diabetes. I would appreciate any answers to my questions. Thank you.
A friend of mine has lost over 100lbs in the last year because of his type 2 diabetes. He's living in denial land thinking it's his massive drinking of water, but I realized that's one of the symptoms also. His blood sugar is regularly 700, will he gain that weight back that he lost?
Ok makes sense, I was told that the weight loss was because he's urinating out all his sugar, because his body isnt processing it, leading his body to eat his fat reserves.
I am 30 years old, no college experience to speak of, and am considering going to school to become a Dietician. I am fascinated by nutrition and feel that it would be a growing field seeing as how the population is only getting more and more over-weight and diabetes and other weight related health issues seem to be growing as well. Any thoughts? Feeback from Dieticians would be greatly appreciated, but all answers are welcome. Oh, and how long am I looking at for schooling? 6 years?
I have to do a project on type 2 diabetes. And I have to come up with a hypothesis on the subject, for example:
Does hispanics know more about type 2 diabetes, because they have the higher percentage of people with this decease?
And other similar stuff. I would love to hear other suggestions. Thanks!
